Police are attempting to move on a group of protesters who have set up a makeshift camp near the Aboriginal Tent Embassy.

The group, Sovereign Citizen, has been linked to last month’s protest outside Old Parliament House, where a smoking ceremony set fire to the front entrance.

Police gave the protestors a 4pm deadline to vacate the area and warned campers they cannot set up on Commonwealth land without a permit.
