Two police officers have been treated for burns after attending a stabbing death at a house in south-west Sydney.
Two police officers have been treated for chemical burns after attending a suspected stabbing murder at a house in south-west Sydney.
Shortly before 10pm on Wednesday, police were called to the home on Hillview Street, Roselands, where they found a 91-year-old man's body with stab wounds.The officers were treated by paramedics for minor chemical burns before they were taken to St George Hospital for assessment, and have since been released.Specialised hazardous material Fire and Rescue crews ventilated the property so an investigation into the man's death could begin.
The homicide squad and Campsie Police Area Command detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the event.A crime scene has been established and anyone with information has been asked to contact police.
