Families have been left devastated after their beloved pets passed away.

Police are investigating after eleven dogs died in a fire at a private kennels yesterday. Firefighters were called to tackle the blaze in the West Midlands on Saturday morning.

The fire is not thought to be suspicious, but a joint investigation is being carried out by the police and fire service to try and establish exactly what happened. In June, five beloved pet dogs perished in a fire at a Scottish boarding kennel. Kirkland K9 kennels in Jackton, near East Kilbride, was destroyed.

"Tom and the family are devastated. The emergency services have been in attendance. "Once again we would like to thank everyone for their kind words and offers of support."
