Tasmania Police have released CCTV footage showing the last known movements of teenager Shyanne-Lee Tatnell, who has now been missing for two months. They have also narrowed down the vehicles of interest to just one.
The business where the CCTV footage is taken is the last building before a large area of open flood plain that separates eastern Launceston from Ravenswood.
It's believed Ms Tatnell, a Burnie local who had been staying in youth accommodation in Launceston for the two weeks prior to her disappearance, was on her way to visit a friend in Ravenswood. An extensive search of the North Esk River and surrounding area was carried out but only a few items were found. The Northern Criminal Investigation Bureau said the items were submitted for forensic examination but were found to have no link to the missing girl.
Late last month police released still images from the same CCTV vision showing several vehicles passing by, around the same time as Ms Tatnell. They were quickly able to identify all but two of the vehicles of interest. Only one is still to be located. The image is grainy, but police believe it to be a silver sedan.
The driver, or anyone who might be able to identify the vehicle, is asked to contact police or make an anonymous report through Crime Stoppers.from either the home page or the settings menu in the app to continue getting the same national news but with a sprinkle of more relevant state stories.
