A man in his 60s was taken to hospital
A motorcyclist was taken to hospital following a crash which closed a busy road in north Nottinghamshire for several hours. The man in his 60s suffered injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.
The single-vehicle collision on the A617 Sherwood Way South was reported at around 5.30pm on Wednesday, September 13. The road was closed in both directions, between Hamilton Road and Derby Road, until 9.30pm. Inspector Katie Eustace said: “Officers were called to the A617 Sherwood Way South, near Sutton-in-Ashfield, at around 5.30pm yesterday following reports of a crash.
“A motorcyclist, aged in his 60s, was taken to hospital after suffering injuries which are not currently believed to be life-threatening. No other vehicles were involved but the road remained closed until around 9.30pm while investigations took place and the scene was made safe.
