Adelaide Crows go top of AFLW ladder with 29-point win over Richmond at Princes ParkDanielle Ponter's kick from the centre square rolled through for a vital goal for the Crows in their win over Richmond.abc.net.au/news/aflw-crows-go-top-of-ladder-with-big-win-over-richmond/102834092The Adelaide Crows have beaten Richmond by 29 points at a wet Princes Park to go top of the AFLW ladder early in round two.
The Tigers had come off a great win over the Brisbane Lions in round one, but they had no answers against Adelaide, failing to kick a point in the final three quarters. Tigers star Monique Conti was one of the players who coped well with conditions, winning a string of clearances at stoppage for the home side.
Taking advantage of a strong wind going down the ground, Ponter took the ball away from a centre bounce and booted the ball from well inside the centre square — it took a big bounce over the heads of players in the forward 50 and trickled over the line.
