Sydneysiders are set to enjoy balmy 23C temperatures on Thursday, but the reprieve from the frigid conditions will only be brief - with more wet and cold weather on the way later in the week, Sky News Weather Meteorologist Rob Sharpe has warned.

Rain is forecast for the Harbour City on Friday, before clearing on Saturday, with a slight chance of a shower on Sunday.
