Tolls could be made cheaper across Sydney following the release of a range of recommendations in a new review, but with one major hitch for motorists using the harbour tunnel and bridge.
The review’s recommendations include two-way tolling on the two harbour crossings – the Harbour Bridge and Tunnel – as well as the Eastern Distributor. The report further recommends the creation of ‘NSW Motorways’, a state-owned entity which would be responsible for setting prices and enabling greater efficiency.
