Prince Harry and Meghan’s legal team have taken swift action over an updated biography claiming the couple were unhappy with the Queen’s response to racism claims aired in their bombshell Oprah interview.

The updated biography titled ‘Finding Freedom’ was authored by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand who are understood to be trusted contacts of the Duke and Duchess.

On Friday Prince Harry and Meghan’s lawyers distanced the Sussexes from the new claims and warned media outlets of litigation if they suggested a rift had been reignited with the Queen. "That conversation, I am never going to share," Harry told Oprah and added"At the time it was awkward, I was a bit shocked”.

In response, Buckingham Palace issued a four-sentence response to the Duke and Duchesses accusations of racism and poor support during their time as working royals. “The Queen’s ‘recollections may vary’ comment did not go unnoticed by the couple, who a close source said were ‘not surprised’ that full ownership was not taken,” they continued.

Only 43 per cent of ethnic minority voters said the United Kingdom should keep the monarchy with 40 per cent taking a stand against the British Crown.
