The sweet and tactile photo, with the pair on bicycles with their arms around one another was taken by favoured photographer Matt Porteous. The Legacy Centenary Torch Relay began at a ceremony at Pozieres France on April 23, then was a part of Anzac Day commemorations in Europe before making its way to the UK.His Majesty attended the start of the London leg of the relay, witnessing the lighting of the torch in the quadrangle of Buckingham Palace.
As such, there were also some of the widows and families of deceased or injured veterans in attendance at the palace ceremony.His Majesty was then presented with a copy of the Legacy Centenary Torch by Australian Victoria Cross recipient Daniel Keighran .The six-month relay event commemorates Legacy's 100 years of service and will see the torch travel over 50,000 kilometres through 100 locations, ending in Melbourne in October.
