Prince William and Kate are reportedly planning to avoid Princess Charlotte becoming a “spare” in the royal family by raising her with career ambitions and the expectation she will get a job, rather than being a full-time working member of the monarchy.
The Daily Mail’s Richard Eden claims Prince William and Princess Kate are carving out a different path for their seven-year-old daughter, so that she doesn’t feel like a “spare” like Prince Harry did.
“If Charlotte is to get a job and not be an active member of ‘The Firm’, she needs to be ready to step into the breach, if needed,” he said.
