A palace insider has shared insights into Princess Catherine ’s state of mind and plans for the future. Princess Catherine is preparing to focus more on herself and her young family in 2025, a decision revealed by a Kensington Palace insider. The 42-year-old Duchess of Wales reflected on the upheavals of her year while hosting her annual Together at Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey on December 6.
Joined by Prince William and their three children, Catherine admitted she could never have predicted the challenges she’d face in 2023. After announcing in September that she was cancer-free following six months of chemotherapy, Catherine is easing back into her royal responsibilities. However, her return will not mirror her pre-illness schedule anytime soon, according to a source close to the royal household. 'You can’t go through something like that and come out the other side unchanged. She is a different person now,' the insider told People. 'Life-threatening illnesses bring a reconsideration of priorities. She and William have always made it clear that family is the most important thing.' The source noted that Catherine is deliberately pacing her royal commitments, with her health and family at the forefront.
