Neil Chenoweth and Edmund Tadros have been named journalists of the year and Brad Thompson and Peter Ker scored best business story at the Quill Awards.
s scoop coverage of the PwC tax scandal has won another of the country’s most prestigious journalism awards, and a second reporting team was also honoured for breaking the news of the breakup of billionaire couple Andrew and Nicola Forrest and its likely impact on Fortescue Metals Group.
“Tadros and Chenoweth displayed true courage and determination in pursuing various leads, including how governments had become far too reliant on the work of the big consulting firms,” the judges said.In awarding Ker and Thompson, the judges said their story “unravelled the power shift within the Forrest family empire and … meticulously followed the money to put two and two together.
