Qantas has announced a major change to reduce the soaring rate of baggage mishandling which will impact travellers taking a domestic flight before jetting off overseas.
The national carrier has been looking at ways to negate issues around staff shortages which has seen the rate of mishandled bags almost doubled to nine in 1000, up from five in 1000 pre-COVID, The Australian reported.
Qantas has announced it has extended the transition time between domestic and international flights from 60 minutes to 90 minutes.
