Qantas passengers are facing lengthy delays at Melbourne and Sydney airports on Monday after a computer glitch grounded flights overnight.
The cancellations at both airports impacted flights between 6.30 am and 7pm on Monday.
Passengers were stranded on the tarmac for up to 90 minutes, while other travellers faced delays of around one-and-half hours. State and international border closures led to an estimated 15,000 laid off without pay or forced to use their leave in 2020 and another 2,500 were stood down almost a year later.
