Annastacia Palaszczuk has hinted at when Queensland’s border could reopen, and it could be earlier than expected.
The Sunshine State is approaching the all-important 80 per cent double-vaccination rate, with the government on Sunday revealing 78.17 per cent of the population had received two jabs.
That target looks set to be hit in the coming days and Palaszczuk did not rule out an early Christmas present for interstate travellers and a sooner-than-expected border opening. She said she would on Monday reveal when Queensland would cross the 80 per cent double dose threshold. Meanwhile, Queensland recorded six new Covid-19 infections on Sunday, with all cases being in quarantine.
