Queensland has launched a new $4.5 million tourism campaign urging people from the southern states to travel up to Queensland.

It is the state’s latest effort to convince people to book a holiday in the increasingly competitive market.

The campaign is expected to encourage 6.7 million visitors to travel to the state when more people are looking to travel overseas for their next holiday.
