Paramedics were called to a Redland Bay address on September 2, 2011, over reports that the baby was not breathing.The girl was rushed to Redland Bay Hospital, and later to Mater Children’s Hospital, where police said she died four days later.
But earlier this year, police said they received more information about the case from a “reliable and credible community source”, prompting them to launch Operation Whiskey Magra, involving child protection detectives. She was refused police bail and expected to appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Saturday.
“These people had to deal with the death of a child 12 years ago, which I could only imagine would be horrific.
