Trailblazing darts player Fallon Sherrock, the first woman to win a match at the PDC world darts titles, is eliminated by Chris Dobey in front of a raucous partisan crowd at the Alexandra Palace.
PDC Darts: DOBEY DOES IT! Chris Dobey ends Fallon's fairytale at Alexandra Palace as he defeats Fallon Sherrock 4-2.. What a story Sherrock has created at this World Championship. She hit a maximum score of 180 in the opening leg on the way to breaking Dobey's throw, and eventually took the set three legs to one with a 77 checkout.
She then had the advantage of throwing first in the deciding leg, but her scoring was well down, and Dobey steadied to level the match. PDC Darts tweet: Fallon Sherrock bows out in the third round... But whata story she has produced here at Alexandra PalaceBut just when the crowd sensed another upset in the offing, Dobey — who said after the match that he had been wearing earplugs to drown out the crowd noise — began to not only outscore Sherrock, but hit his doubles.
