There is "less light, laughter and joy in the world" following the death of Triple M radio presenter and Brisbane market mogul Sammy Power, says her family.Mourners carry Sammy Power's coffin from St Agatha's Parish Church in Clayfield on Brisbane's northside on Friday.Jan Power paid tribute to her daughter, saying she was "tremendously proud" of her achievements.
"This is a family business and will continue to be. My daughters have spent considerable time over the years in various capacities and have a real appreciation of the business Mum built.A strong crowd farewells Sammy Power for the final time on Friday.Friend Lizzie Loel paid tribute to Power as someone who "thought big, gave big and lived large".
"Sammy saw no boundaries, just golden opportunities to entertain, and she took on the glass ceiling with a sledgehammer in a crushed velvet glove.
