A Queensland aged care home staff member has tested positive for COVID-19

Staff and residents at Carinity's Karinya Place aged-care home will undergo coronavirus testing as a precaution.In a statement on Thursday, the facility's parent company, Carinity, said the staff member was in home quarantine and "did not work while experiencing any symptoms".

"Carinity’s number one priority is providing a safe home for our residents and a safe workplace for our team. Carinity said it was working closely with Queensland Health and the Australian Government Department of Health to prevent the spread of infection within the facility.
