Speaking at a virtual news briefing from the United Nations health agency's Geneva headquarters WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said countries need to have "control" of the virus before attempting to kick start their economies.
"The more control countries have over the virus, the more they can open up," Mr Tedros said. "No country can just pretend the pandemic is over."We want to see childrenMr Tedros outlined four "essential things" that need to be done in order to take control of the spread of coronavirus.He said countries should "prevent amplifying events" involving large gatherings of people in one place.
