While public transport use in Brisbane has surged, it is still well down on pre-pandemic levels, new data shows.

“The positive uptick shows Queenslanders are choosing public transport more often,” he said.“Our priority now is to continue encouraging public transport use and sustaining this growth by planning a reliable, safe, and accessible Queensland passenger transport system right across the state.

Bailey said he expected the new Cross River Rail stations — at Albert Street in the CBD, Woolloongabba, Boggo Road, and the exhibition grounds — would help entice commuters.
