A rain system has brought heavy downpours to large parts of Queensland and seen several towns experience record rainfall for May in just 24 hours.
Managing Owner of Awassi Farm and Cheesery Di Piggott says her farm in the Lockyer Valley of south east Queensland has experienced damage from heavy flooding.
“It is a little bit frustrating with the damage that the floods do and frustration with having livestock going through such devastation,” she told Sky News host Chris Kenny. “The losses that we experienced in February were due to a lambing season that went horribly wrong with paddocks full of water.”
