The Queensland Labor Party is wasting no time attempting to reshuffle its leadership after Saturday's election loss, as former premier Steven Miles comes under pressure to drop his deputy leader Cameron Dick for a Left faction peer.

Insiders have revealed Queensland Labor Party Leader Steven Miles has been pressured to dump his right-hand man Cameron Dick for a Labor Left faction peer currently serving in cabinet.The Queensland Labor Party is wasting no time attempting to reshuffle its leadership after Saturday's election loss, as former premier Steven Miles comes under pressure to drop his deputy leader Cameron Dick for a Left faction peer.

If Ms Fentiman replaces the current deputy, the Left faction would hold both of the top leadership positions within the party in Queensland. Mr Dick, who leads the Right, is said to be expecting to stay on as deputy leader after yielding the top job to Mr Miles. The former premier and deputy premier, Ms Fentiman, and other Labor MPs gathered at the Brekky Creek Hotel on Sunday after their election defeat, with a source from with Labor Forum, the party’s policy advocacy group, informing the masthead power sharing was currently “important for stability”.
