Cr Campbell had used the company for personal projects in the past through his beef cattle business Cairo Pastoral Company, and failed to declare a potential conflict of interest. "We've had senior people from the local government at a council meeting struggling to agree on how to enforce the rules properly.
"I'm definitely not trying to get out of my responsibility and I believe I always hold myself to a high standard," he said.He is calling for an adjustment to make it easier for councillors to know when they are in the wrong.Cloncurry Shire Mayor Greg Campbell with Scott Morrison in Cloncurry.
