Queensland’s government is refusing to follow the lead of other states around the country and impose a ban on mobile phones in schools.
Queensland Education Minister Grace Grace won’t budge on the issue, citing a report from an anti-cyberbullying taskforce’s recommendation five years ago.
However, the chair of the same task force report now calls for urgent reform, saying a lot has changed in the last five years.
