Queensland Police Service are poaching 300 officers from overseas and 100 from other states as it faces a recruiting crisis.
Queensland Police Union President Ian Leavers revealed that police on the Gold Coast were burdened by large numbers of domestic violence
callouts and mental health incidents.By recruiting past and present police, the course for qualification will take a shorter than usual four months.
