Queensland Health has ordered all students in a local school into home quarantine until an unwell family agrees to get tested.

Health Minister Yvette D’Ath confirmed on Thursday a family of five authorities who live in Queensland arrived back in the Sunshine State about three days ago, according to police information.

The family were required to enter 14 days of hotel quarantine, however, have so far refused to be tested for the coronavirus. “We are taking the most cautious measures possible because they have been travelling in Queensland, the children have been at a school and we need to make sure we don’t have a situation where we have transmission happening in our schools and our community.”

"And those children told their classmates they’d recently been in Melbourne, so police then attended the school yesterday and the family of five is now in hotel quarantine," she said.
