Sky News host Chris Kenny says 2019 has been a “big year” for both the “quiet Australians,” who denied Bill Shorten from being the nation's prime minister, along with now the “quiet Poms,” who guided Boris Johnson to a thumping UK victory. KennyOnSunday

Sky News host Chris Kenny says 2019 has been a “big year” for both the “quiet Australians,” who denied Bill Shorten from being the nation's prime minister in May, along with now the “quiet Poms,” who guided Boris Johnson to a thumping UK victory. Mr Kenny said the conservative shift of voters is not “party political,” per se, and is not even “tied to the same group of policies”.

“The Americans, the Aussies and the Poms have now said no,” Mr Kenny said. Mr Kenny was also critical as to whether the parties on the left, and their leaders, would actually ‘learn any lessons’ from the recent election results from around the world. “There are no signs in the US that they've learned, they are still protesting against Trump and trying to impeach him rather than challenging in a proper political and policy contest”.
