The South Sydney Rabbitohs have voiced their support for NRL stars Latrell Mitchell and Jack Wighton after an ACT court threw out their charges.
The duo appeared in the ACT Magistrates Court on Wednesday regarding an incident in February but prosecutors dropped all charges after a senior police officer admitted to giving false evidence.

“These charges have also weighed heavily on both players over the past eight to nine months. They have shown great courage and resilience in fighting to prove the charges laid were false and unwarranted.” Police alleged they had kicked Wighton out of Faction nightclub after observing him with clenched fists and an angry facial expression while holding a man by the shirt.
