"We've had some very sad news here at 3AW, he's been a dear friend and colleague for many years here," 3AW Mornings presenter Tom Elliot said."I can tell you he had a terrible cancer diagnosis, he told me late last year.
"He said he was riddled with cancer, and didn't expect to last too long, so for me, this isn't a surprise."Someone who could do it all - he was good on TV, he was good on radio, he could make people laugh, he could talk about things seriously if he had to.Last week Brady announced his retirement from radio after nearly 67 years in the broadcasting industry.
