The True Ranger award goes to a player who represents the core values of the organization in a positive light both on and off the field.Carter, who turned 20 in August, batted .295 and reached double figures in doubles , triples , home runs and stolen bases over 106 games between Class A Hickory and Double-A Frisco.
Lee, 24, went 2-2 with six saves, a 4.14 ERA, 70 strikeouts and just two home runs allowed over 50 appearances for Frisco and Round Rock in 2022. Lee, a sidewinding right-hander, was the clubs’ sixth-round pick in 2021. Ornelas, 22, made 123 starts at four different positions for Frisco. He posted a .973 fielding percentage at his primary position of shortstop, earning back-to-back honors as the organization’s Defender of the Month for July and August. At the plate, Ornelas batted .299 with a career-high 14 home runs and 64 RBI.
