Gold Logie winning journalist Ray Martin has spilled the tea on his vastly different experiences interviewing the royals.

Veteran Australian journalist Ray Martin has lifted the lid on his experience interviewing different members of the Royal Family, revealing the late Prince Philip was"arrogant" while his son King Charles was"very pleasant" and"nice."

Martin told IGNFY host Andrew Bucklow that Philip would only discuss his role as the international president of the World Wildlife Fund - and if he steered away from the topic the Duke would immediately terminate the interview. However, Martin revealed his experience in 1994 interviewing King Charles as the debate over Australia becoming a republic was raging couldn't have been any different - describing him as “very pleasant".
