Turner's four-year contract, worth $70 million guaranteed and $80 million with incentives runs out at the end of this season. Turner has been rumored to be part of trade talks for years. However, Turner is having the best career statistically in his eight seasons in the NBA, averaging career bests in both scoring and rebounding .
The Pacers have $25 million in cap space available, so they can sign Turner to a renegotiation and extension. They have until March 1 to reach an extension, as extensions can not be signed between March 1 and the beginning of free agency on June 30.
