Logan residents have gathered in the street to remember their neighbour Stanley Obi, who died on Thursday after an alleged attack on his home in New Beith, south of Brisbane.His former partner is accused of dousing his home with petrol and setting it alightFew of the 100 people who turned out to pay their respects to Mr Obi knew their neighbour, but resident Gloria Mavugata said it was important for the community to come together.
The memorial was organised by Kam and Pana Lal, who were the first to provide aid when Mr Obi struggled from his home in the early hours of Thursday with burns to 90 per cent of his body. He died later that night.
