A rideshare driver has allegedly been threatened with a knife in an attempted carjacking and armed robbery in Melbourne's west.
Officers were told the driver picked up two men about 12:35am on Sunday, who instructed him to head to Sheahan Road in Rockbank. There, police believe one of the men produced a knife and demanded the 34-year-old victim hand over his phone, cash and vehicle.The victim, from Airport West, fled the scene in his car, and drove to the intersection of Sheahan and Hopkins roads where he flagged down a passer-by. He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.Police said both of the males were wearing black clothing, and were described as being of Islander appearance.
