PRESIDENTIAL candidate Vice President Leni Robredo has turned down the invitation of the Commission on Elections for a panel interview in lieu of the supposed presidential town hall debates.
But Robredo, who attended the two previous debates organized by the Comelec, dared her rival, former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., to a debate."Inaanyayahan ko si Ginoong Bongbong Marcos na makipagdebate, para mabigyan ang taumbayan ng pagkakataong makaharap siya at matanong tungkol sa mga kontrobersiyang pumapalibot sa kanya," said Robredo.In response, Marcos’ spokesperson, lawyer Vic Rodriguez, said Robredo’s call will not happen.
Marcos earlier refused the panel interview organized by the Comelec along with the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas and which will be held from May 2 to 6.
