Clarkson returned from a personal trip to Adelaide on Thursday morning after visiting a sick friend in the Caulfield Grammar community, where his son goes to school.“That’s disrespectful to Kenny ,” he told 7NEWS reporter Theo Doropolous.
Current North Melbourne interim coach Leigh Adams threw his support behind the legendary former Hawks coach, but said the club’s future did not depend on him.“I think it would be fantastic if he was to come to our footy club, but if he doesn’t, then we’ll get the next best person in,” Adams said. “I’m not 100 per cent sure what weighing up; what I know is he’s got some great people inside this footy club, not just players but our staff in here are fantastic.”
