The Aged Care Royal Commission has called on the federal government to immediately fund additional staff in aged care facilities, while being highly critical of the government's lack of an aged care plan.
The commissioners also said during the hearings much was "made during the hearing of whether there was an aged care-specific plan for COVID-19". The report coincides with another two deaths in aged care in Victoria, lifting the number of deaths to 637 in that state alone.
