Out of the 27,288 qualified runners who applied for the 2020 race, 24,127 were accepted, while 3,161 were rejected. According to a press release from the BAA, around 80 percent of the field size is made up of qualified runners, while the remaining bibs are given to elites, invited participants, and charity runners.After the announcement broke, many runners shared their reactions to the news over social media.
