A former mayor who has been critical of Russia's invasion of Ukraine has reportedly been detained.
abc.net.au/news/russia-detains-politician-yevgeny-roizman-reports/101368420Russian authorities have detained a politician who is known for his criticism of the Kremlin and the invasion of Ukraine, according to a local news agency.
Mr Roizman, who was the mayor of Yekaterinburg from 2013 to 2018, said in July he did not fear being arrested. He was one of a handful of Kremlin critics who won his mayoral post following a series of big opposition demonstrations as President Vladimir Putin campaigned for office in 2012.
