South Australia’s construction industry is calling for it to be considered essential to safeguard jobs and businesses in the event of another lockdown.
The industry closed during last month’s snap seven-day lockdown at a cost of approximately $230 million, despite it being essential during the state’s first lockdown last year.
Industry leaders insist risk mitigation systems are in place to make it safe to work during a lockdown.
