A football club in Adelaide has been fined $5060 after a party with adult entertainment was held in breach of coronavirus restrictions.
SA Police were called to Greenacres Football Club, in the city’s northeast, on Saturday night after receiving reports of a possible breach.Compliance Officer attended and identified the club was breaching COVID restrictions and could not produce a COVID-Safe Plan,” police said in a statement.News.com.au understands the event involved adult entertainment including strippers.The club, home to the Dragons, was issued with a $5060 fine.
“Whilst for the most part the COVID guidelines were adhered to, it is regrettable that indiscretions to the guidelines have occurred,” he said.Earlier this year, the club withdrew its men’s sides from the 2020 season of the Adelaide Footy League, formerly known as the South Australian Amateur Football League, citing financial concerns and a freeze on promotion.The club, home to the Dragons, was fined $5060.
