Sales soar at Bunnings, Officeworks as people spend more time at home. 9News
Sales growth at Bunnings is up 19.2 per cent in the second half of the financial year, compared to 5.8 per cent in the first half.
Officeworks has also seen sales growth jump to 27.8 per cent in the second half compared to 11.5 per cent in the first half. Hardware chain Bunnings has seen a rise in customers as people spend more time around the house due to coronavirus lockdowns. While sales momentum in Kmart and Target has improved in recent weeks with a general increase in customer footfall in shopping centres, both businesses continue to under perform.© AAP 2020
