Today is World Down Syndrome Day!! Each year, between 3,000 - 5,000 children are born with Down syndrome. March 21st was chosen as a day of global awareness, and has been observed by the UN since 2012.
The Down Syndrome Center at Rady Children’s celebrated 15 years of helping patients and their families navigate medical care. Sharla Hank, president and co-founder of DS Action, joined KUSI’s Hunter Sowards to discuss the significance of the day.
