A man was killed Friday night when a car struck him as he was attempting to cross Interstate 35, San Antonio police reported.
Officers were sent to the 8000 block of I-35 South around 10 p.m. after a driver called to say he had hit someone, according to police. The man was pronounced deat at the scene. He has yet to be identified, but he was estimated to be between 50 and 60 years old. Officers talked to the driver, who said the man had crossed the highway suddenly, according to police. The driver said he wasn’t able to avoid the man, police said.
