Construction and supply pressures are being blamed for pushing back the delivery of the Palaszczuk government election pledge.
Friday’s hearing also probed issues surrounding the pressures of the COVID-19 pandemic on the state’s health system, along with the Aspen Medical contract for theActing director-general Shaun Drummond said that while there was a $108 million cap on the contract, there were only limited additional payments to be made once it winds up in August, with the total cost to be between $7 million and $10 million.
Drummond was also questioned about the ongoing investigation into his conduct while chief executive of the Metro North hospital and health service, and his shift back to the public service from a partnership at Deloitte., had conflict-of-interest management processes in place and had no role in three contracts awarded since he took the top job this year.
