The former prime minister is lining up his office in Sydney’s CBD.
Word is that Morrison is on the cusp of signing a lease agreement for some office space on level 9, 139 Macquarie St in Sydney. Colliers has been in talks with the government’s procurers to set him up with two adjoining offices that could be merged.’s GCQ Funds Management, which has already upgraded to space nearby. The other is Blackstone’s visa processor, VFS Global.
However, one issue that’s popped up in the negotiations is the fact Morrison would have to use the floor’s communal bathroom. Morrison expensing a private bathroom fit-out for his taxpayer-funded Sydney office would make for sterling estimates watching.
