A new app has been set up and will be used for the first time and the SFA are keen to avoid any issues.

Scotland fans will need to have their phone batteries on full charge for the upcoming match against Northern Ireland. In the digital age tickets are morphing into QR codes on your phone screen.

The national team are embarking on a new era as Scotland games will become 100 per cent paperless. This is like the style of ticket UEFA will use in Euro 2024. QR codes and downloaded tickets will be the only accepted way to enter the automatic turnstiles. The Tartan Army have been told to get their tickets in order well in advance of the match. The QR codes go live on the morning of the game but due to potential issues the fans need to be prepared.

“Tickets within the Hampden Park Tickets App can be displayed without internet connection. If your mobile phone has run out of battery, you will not be able to display your ticket. You can either log in to another phone with your log in credentials and transfer it to a friend's account.
